Car mechanic simulator 2018 dyno8/3/2023 ![]() ![]() There's always a point in a car where you know you're getting the maximum acceleration. You want to ensure that the RPMs in 2nd after the 1-2 shift are where they climb at a steady rate or rapidly climbing. You want that shift to be at a point where you think your car will benefit from the shift. Use your HP curve as your guideline, and also your ears while driving. With the launches working, now move onto 2nd gear. ADVICE Make 1st longer (move slider to the left) and keep tweaking JUST the launches until you get no (or minimal) wheel spin. However, it's the opposite that's true longer gearing minimizes wheel spin. Many people think that having shorter gearing (slider to the right) accomplishes this because you accelerate quicker. We want to minimize wheel spin at launch. The below text applies to all aspects of driving, but one thing to understand is that for non-drag setups, you want to make sure that you have more gears than three.įirst, turn the number of gears down to 3 gears max. You simply cannot use the same transmission setup and expect a car set up for drag racing to also perform well on the other tracks. The information can be used to loosely determine how much faster your car can potentially be.įirst, one thing to understand is that each track you go to REQUIRES a different transmission setup. ![]() That's the curves you see getting drawn when you use the dyno. It's sole purpose is just to measure horsepower and torque. ![]()
